Just received my Kindle Voyage yesterday, I like it, the build, the performance and font crispness, over all it looks great and I'm keeping it.
The bad thing is that it has this pink tone too, it shows up and disappear based on the light around me, but even when it disappears, my eye catch it while I'm reading and my brain know it's there
I have Kobo Aura, and checked Kobo Aura H2O several times in the Fnac shop next to my work place, and I can say that the Kobo has better light, the H2O with the proper font and setting could probably look as amazing as that of Voyage (not sure about the darkness and contrast though, I think the voyage is a major winner there).
Why am I keeping the Voyage? Well, it balances itself in my had better, the sharpness of the fonts, and the contrast. I find myself turning the lights of the Kindle to their lower settings, where there is no pink color at all, just because the lights in my office are good.
The clarity of the text is really amazing, and the responsiveness of the device is really good, I didn't like the H2O responsiveness at all, they should have used a capacitive touch screen.
I also tried PDF on the Voyage, very responsive, the zooming of the pdf in landscape mode was amazing. Also, when reading normal books, the "Page Flip" feature is amazing.
I'm not sure if there are Kindle Voyages out their that don't have this pinkish tone, most of the reviews I read so far and watched say something about it, should I contact Amazon and ask for replacement? do they allow me to keep both for comparison? I'm enjoying what I have now, but would really prefer if this pink just go away
