Amazon has two different collections that pair up for low pricing. They're linked in the OP:
The first one involves public domain books. You buy the free Kindle version and pair it up with a $0.99 Audible version. There are currently 104 titles available. Amazon pulls from this collection for the free monthly Whispersync pair.
The second collection contains 92 titles and is more expensive. The Kindle books range in price from $0.00 to $15.22. Approximately half of those titles are under $8.00. The matching Audible titles are $3.95 or less.
