Got a replacement Aura HD recently, which bricked as soon as I tried to activate it with the Kobo desktop. Rang support, was talked through one of several ensuing factory resets, and when it came up as FW 2.4.0 the Kobo operative said, "Ooh, you got an old one!"
That started me wondering. But if they're all the same ...
