I think that I actually might be on the mailing list, I don't remember.
Here's the "fine print": Offer valid for new subscribers only and expires 12/31/14 While supplies last. Open only to legal residents of the United States. Program may be terminated at any time, and titles may be removed or replaced at any time."
You get your choice of six different ebooks. Off the Shelf is apparently connected with Simon & Schuster, so I'm going out on a limb and guessing that all of the ebook selections are S&S titles. haha I didn't see anything on the webpage for this promo about what format that the ebooks are in.
Here are the current ebook selections from which you will choose your free ebook:
- In the Shadow of the Banyan. By Vaddey Ratner.
- Siege: Who Will Survive? By Simon Kernick.
- This Side of Paradise. By F. Scott Fitzgerald.
- Little Earthquakes. By Jennifer Weiner.
- Wishes. By Jude Deveraux.
- The Lions of Lucerne. By Brad Thor.
Once again we non-fiction only readers get kicked to the curb, as all of these titles are fiction. Being a non-fiction only reader, I don't know anything about these titles good, bad, or indifferent. Well, except the name "F. Scott Fitzgerald." I might have heard of it. haha
Oh, I was about to forget to give you the linky. haha It's http://offtheshelf.com/free-ebook.

Just an FYI. They can only be accessed on the web, a smartphone, or tablet. Since I use only an ereader (my eyes don't like backlighting) it doesn't work for me. Still, it is no different than checking out a book from a library or Amazon Prime, so it is a good way to get a free read.
