Oh, I don't mind the classic "one impossible thing per story". But idiot plot twists offend me. And it sounds like there are at least two in this one. (Plus a comparison to Classic Lost in Spacde.) Which is sad because I had hopes for this.

When it comes to SF gadgets, though, I would love to have Mirror Universe Kirk's magic eliminator so I won't have to share the world with wackos like the two in the linked articles. It really annoys me to have them in *my* world.
