Your stylus will work fine with either and so will the plug and any cables you may still have. A few years ago they weren't shipping these things with the plugs, but my HD 6 came with one. Not sure if they're now shipping them with the other new models.

The Kindle 2 or Keyboard cases won't work as they're much bigger devices. They have a bigger bezel and the keyboard makes them longer. I just tried sticking my HD 6 into my previous sleeve just to give you the comparison.

Comics are readable on the HD 6, but you ideally want the 7 for that. The text is nice and clear, but there is a lot of white space (margins) which ruins the experience and makes it uncomfortable.

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble getting the answers you're looking for.
