So I cut down an Illumishield, that I had bought for my iPad. I covered my HD 6 and my Sony Vita with it. Cuts the glare without drastic color reduction. My screen is very responsive and for some reason it almost makes the whites, whiter. I'm happy I finally got off of my duff and installed it.

So I would say the Illumishield are a good choice. I ordered a pack that is cut specifically for the Fire HD 6, just in case. I didn't exactly get one edge cut straight, so I may replace it one day.

Good to know! My "Mr. Shield" matte screen protector came today.

I ruined the first one. Dust captured. So then I went into the bathroom, which had better light. I was able to successfully apply it. No bubbles! This company sends extras that I have not gotten before, to remove dust, and it works (if you follow the instructions)(mr-shield.com/instructions). I'm happy with it.
