I think that black Friday is horrible. This just adds to the over commercialization of yet another holiday. This should be a family oriented celebration, regardless of whether they are related by blood or not.

I've said it before and I'll say it again I wish that we would move our Thanksgiving celebration to the same day the Canadians celebrate. As it is now between Thanksgiving and the week after New Years most business shuts down and it hurts our economy. Except retail of course. Many of us don't celebrate Christmas or if we do, don't buy into the frenzied shopaholic activities.

So, yeah nothing says home for the holidays like getting up at 4 to go work or shop at Wal mart while the rest of the family sleeps and plays.
