KOreader is an alternative software project that can be added to the software that comes with Kindle or Kobo devices. It needs to be "launched"/started by some additional software, this guide describes the older method of launching additional programs that used Icons to launch the programs, just as you would select a book to read. It also has links to other launching software, including Tshering's "Kobo Start Menu" which I use and recommend.
