I really don't like this habit of conflating the screen with the light. These are two separate attributes and should be reviewed separately.

When I think of the screen, multiple attributes come to mind:

* light
* resolution
* ghosting
* contrast
* touch
* bezel shadow

Rating the screen based on the light alone is especially superficial and unhelpful to me. This is because 99% of the time I don't use the light because I own a reading lamp.
