The 2014 version of the PW does look the best. And just as I thought when comparing my PW2 to my Kindle 3, the PW does look better even with the light down low. I do get what people mean about the text not being as crisp, but that apart....
Also when in a dark room with the PW light set reasonably low, it looks better to read on than the K3 with the light attached. Yes with the light set high it makes it looked washed out, but used as its meant to with the light at a lower level, I simply don't see how people think a book light with the K3 looks better?
