I would be grateful if you could tell me if your Voyage looks like that too:

So I got a Kindle Voyage two days ago, and as I compared it with my Kindle 4 I can't say that the screen is whiter.
Over the forum people say that the screen is much brighter than on the Paperwhite, so I don't understand why it would be less bright than good old Kindle 4.
I also read that people complain of a yellowish color, but only in regards to the front light.
My kindle Voyage, though, seems yellower to me with the light all down than my Kindle 4. Actually when I turn the light all the way up it is uniform with no blue or yellow spot, rather perfectly white-ish. But I never use the front light. So is the color of my Voyage normal or should I send it back as flawed?

Here are two pictures, the first one is what it looks in real life (more or less, the "yellowness" is more visible in reality).
On the second version of the picture I pushed up the contrast to find out if there was really yellow involved.

It appears that color wise my old Kindle 4 is better... Is this the normal color for the Voyage?
What do you think?
I have kindle 4 same as you and recently got a paperwhite 2. I noticed the screen isn't very white when you turn down the light on the pw2, and i actually prefer reading on my kindle 4 with an external light. I will be sending back my pw2 and keeping my kindle.

Not impressed with the lighted kindle, as the screen only looks good when the light is at full brightness because that creates the nice white effect on the screen. But since you wouldn't read at full brightness in bed, i think the pw2 at lower brightness settings looks kinda crappy in comparison to my older kindle.

The pw2 does look good when i attach my clip-on book light though, but this defeats the purpose of the pw2 as the reason i got it was to be able to read without additional light.

You do need a good light for the kindle 4 though. I recommend the Mighty Bright 6 hammerhead led music light from amazon. I read in landscape mode and the light attaches nicely to the side, but i do have to keep it secured in place with a bit of bluetack under the clip.
