The method outlined maybe doing it the hard way:
Polish or the Modify EPUB PI can refresh the book from within Calibre using the Image and details that you see.

As to the new filesize, Quality Check (PI): Fix filesize will scan your library and update the DB (this value is the Largest VERSION it finds)
