There's a very high likelihood that you'd have to strip the DRM* before loading it onto your Sony, unless you managed to luck out on a DRM-free B&N book.

Aside from that, B&N's epubs generally work just fine on my T1.

* And this brings up a different set of problems than are normally associated with use of the tools, since B&N have recently changed the way their DRM scheme works for new accounts/people who've modified their account info, for which we've a really long thread here (that was apparently the second phase of their scheme where they removed the ability to easily download their books directly from their website, but that can be fixed for now with a Greasemonkey script, unlike the other issues).
