I don't mind the current tiled home screen. There are a few things that bug me, but by and large I think they did a good job. I hate how they show me "Recommended" tiles, etc. so I use the Calibre plug-in to rectify this (but it still takes a little while for it to work though, so I still see those tiles sometimes).

My other biggest gripe is I'd like to be able to see more tiles and not be limited to the current <10. Easiest fix: allow the page to scroll.

I'd also like to be able to 'pin' tiles to the home screen so they never disappear. For instance, I would pin the browser because I don't use it super often, but when I do I don't like to have to dig through menus to get to it (I know, I know, the browser is a beta feature so I can't really expect this...). Same for a couple technical reference books I have. The 'Pin' button should be both in the long-press menu for existing tiles and for books in the library.

And yes, an option to only show book titles and not display covers would be great too.
