It comes down to decrease in size and light sensor to you. You already said it best: a question each of us needs to answer ourselves. For me the small weight and size reduction and the sensor are not worth it to upgrade even if the prize was the same. The flush front is nice and avoids stuck cat hair - not a must have though. The only reason to upgrade for me would be the increased resolution - without it is a no go.

I will hold off on deciding if it is worth to upgrade for the extra resolution when a perfectly good working PW1 is still here to read. It is still working fine, but it is not being used at the moment (as in not at all) due to my new phone being finally not too small any more. Before the jump to 5.7" screen on my Note 4 it was only comfortable to read on the bigger 6" PW for long periods at a time instead of my old phone.
