Amazon is currently running another one of their free app promos. This one has 40 apps valued at over $115 and expires Sat 01 Nov. The thread and promo link can be found here.

Some of these apps are compatible with the Fire TV. Which ones, I have no idea. To find out, you'll need to separately enter each one of the free apps in the search bar for Fire TV Apps.

Plex, a highly rated media server, is one of the free apps.

edit: or as Jessica pointed out, the sidebar 'refine by device type' works even better
