#1 Just because they're not replacing doesn't mean you can't take your refund and reorder.
#2 A defect is, in fact, a defect. You can then return the second one as defective via the website, if it has an issue.
#3 This is NOT normal for a Kindle screen, this is simply the party line ATM.
#4 IF this "in certain lighting situations this is normal and expected" were true, they wouldn't be doing a software update to fix it soon.
They must be overwhelmed by returns right now. I didn't stand up for myself with the PW1, I settled, and have regretted it ever since. If you can see it, others can see it, it is a defect and not your lighting.
