If the customer is standing in front of your cash register, and uses a credit card, it is very nearly certain that it is a card present transaction, which costs less.
This isn't rocket science. It's really quite simple:
Customer uses credit card: you pay x.x%
Customer uses Apple Pay: You pay more than x.x%.
Is it that hard to understand?

The prices go up for everyone to cover the increased transaction costs; there won't be a separate lower price for customers who don't use apple pay; the card companies pay apple the difference & the business keep the "other" differences for a higher profit.
Those of us without a "smart phone" will pay more for everything because of apple pay or the rivals.
There used to be signs that cash customers get a discount at some business; don't believe that there will be signs that non iphone (smartphone too?) payees will get a discounted price.
The subject heading should be apple sc*r*w the people again.
