And, about a week ago I downloaded a free book that I didn't have any particular interest in (but it was free, so what the heck) and the book that downloads is a different book by the same author. Interestingly, the title that downloads doesn't seem to be available (under its own name) via Kobo.

Anyway, it just feels like when I buy at Kobo I'm not so much buying a book as a raffle ticket.

It'll just take a fairly substantial coupon code to get me to buy another book from them.

That author/publisher has had known problems with books 2 and 3 in the series FOREVER. The author has supposedly been contacted multiple tries. No one seems to know how/why/what the problem is, but it was never uploaded correctly (Jodi Taylor is the author I'm referring to. I read the first in the series). I can't figure out why Kobo doesn't take the books down because it's been wrong for a seriously long time and either the publisher isn't willing or can't figure out how to fix it.
