This is an issue I have with one of my replacements. Not only does it not always register touch, it also seems to require much more precise touching than the other KVs. This specific device also freezes up a lot, including during set-up, while I have never ever had a Kindle freeze on me before. (See attached video screengrab, where you can clearly see I tried to get out of the settings screen by touching icons up top, which turned black but did not let me leave the screen.)
