In the current version I don't see anything labeled "calibre companion".
When you access the "Local calibre catalog" you get the following:
By Newest
By Title
By Authors
By Languages
By Publisher
By Rating
By Series
By Tags
If I select "By Newest" I get four pages of a listing of ebooks starting with the last book I added to calibre, and continuing back through additions and modified books.
By Title = an alphanumeric listing of titles
By Authors = A through Z listed Selecting a letter gives you a list of authors with last names starting with that letter, selecting an Author gives you a listing of his books.
etcetera...
I don't know what the calibre companion does but Something like this would make sense.
