Wow! That book certainly goes against everything that I've heard. Now, just who do you believe??? Do you believe the weight of the majority of scholarship on the matter, or do you accept the very minor opinion of this author? I strongly tend to follow the majority opinion on scientific questions. Would reading just this one book put the issue to rest in my mind? I don't have the time to research all of the different positions. Who can I rely on to have/tell the truth on the matter?
As far as the Mediterranean diet is concerned, a friend of mine recently was advised by his doctor to go on the diet, based on the results of some blood work. He has already been slowly changing over the way that he eats to this diet entails. Now I wonder if he's doing the wrong thing.
Anyway, thanks Lynx-lynx for your post of the book.
