@phoenix_pl: Besides looking at the screen during the reboot after the update, no way besides trying to install something (or checking over SSH).
The KUAL thing is unrelated. Check the FAQ, it's perfectly normal behaviour. Reinstall MKK. (Or update to a snaphsot version of the JB >= 1.11.N).
