I checked against my Kindle Paperwhite 2. I see a few dead pixels on this as well but no where near the number on my Kindle Voyage.
Anyone else have this?
FYI, I also have slight tint differences between the top and bottom of the screen but it doesn't really bother me as much as the dead pixels do. I actually chalk this up to slight brightness differences due to the fact that the LEDs are on the bottom of the screen so the top is slightly dimmer than the bottom.

I have this black flecks issue mostly on the upper part of my screen. I think Xendula mentioned it many pages ago too. The first thing I did was compare it to my PW2 as well which doesn't have this problem. I don't notice them unless the light is turned up over really high so I think I'll live with it. I don't think a picture would capture it well. Not as annoying as the light pinholes were on the PW2 models though!
I have the screen color issue as well. Undecided how I feel about that yet. Just got it this afternoon at Best Buy and need to try it out for a few days.
