Go for the Fire. booklover6 gave a good response to you. I have a Paperwhite that I love and the Fire 6. Like them both. I have the Fire Kindle app set to sepia background and find that comfortable for reading. With my 1st Gen Fire the screen was soooo bright. It was hard to adjust to a comfortable level.
