It's not slaved to a laptop. It's typing directly into an Android app on the e-reader, presumably. But at 6.8", it's not worth buying IMO for use as an e-ink screen.

Dropping the whole "the DPT-S1 is overprized" issue aside, when I used the term "E-Ink screen" I mean devices...
...which do not cost for any additional features beyond the "screen" part (e.g. E-Reader software, speakers, SD-Card slots, buttons, touchscreen etc.)
...which are of reasonable size to be used as an actual screen, what I meant by "adequate" in the opening post. 13.3" at a minimum.
