I've downloaded all of 2056 books to the H2o, some of them big and complex, with 10+ Mb, notes and sometimes pictures. Apart from 2 with previously known problems, for which I disable the kepub conversion, only one had a problem which it didn't have before. I converted it with Calibre (epub to epub), after which it downloaded properly as a kepub in the H2o.
I definitely prefer kepubs, and I like to have header and footer, with the page numbering per chapter. If I want to know where I am in the full book, I hit center bottom, and get the time (always useful when immersed in a book) and the % read.
