Well, in the 1400s I don't think anyone here in the States had much use for "hose" .... although, I could be wrong, but none of the tribal groups I know of were very fashion forward.
They weren't excactly fashion conscious over here - I mean, they'd wear mismatched stockings - one in one colour, one in another *shakes head*
