English is my 2nd language, so maybe I did not use the right word? It is hard to explain.
The PW1 and PW2, compared to the Voyage, the fonts look "washed out" , not deep black? As a matter of fact, my defunct Kindle Touch (no back lit) is way sharper than my PW1.
But going back to topic. On the Voyage, the white part of the screen looks now much more white, which enhances the reading experience; it creates more contrast, so it is easier to read.
And like Jack said, the experience is now more tablet alike, at least when touching and feeling the eink surface.
