Well, it was still available and in as good of condition as advertised. The seller drove almost all the way to my house (to a Starbucks) and insisted on giving me $5 change when I told him $60 would be fine (it was advertised at $55). It's basically brand new, with box and all literature. I'm still charging it, but I've played with a little while charging. I like the screen a lot. Actually I like the Kobo Glo quite a bit, except for the width of the bottom margin. Starting to get used to it.

So now I'll see how I like the Kobo "world." Thanks for all the information, advice, etc.
