Oh and we are six....my oldest son, 17, has no interest in a tablet. My other son, 14, has a 2012 Fire HD running n2a Kitkat, which he loves, and a Chromebook (not his, but he uses it daily). He probably doesn't need a Fire 6

I have a Chromebook and the 2012 Fire HD 7. The Chromebook is nice for casual use. I put my Fire in one of those Amazon cases to keep the overall size thin. I use it as a media player; primarily music and audiobooks. Right now it's playing Christmas music (Carpenters Holiday channel on Pandora).
