I had the same problem last night (on my computers at home and at work) and again this morning; the $0.00-priced item appears at full price + tax in the cart, and the site keeps changing my billing address state from NY to CT. I contacted Tantor last night to explain the issue and am awaiting their reply.

UPDATE:
I don't see a reply from Tantor Media (yet), but I did have success "buying" the free audiobook just now!
