One of the things I hate about the light wedge is if the underside gets scratched or you end up getting a fair amount of dust (I live near a beach), you end up with glowing lines and specks all over the screen. And I find the underside very delicate - cleaning it of dust has given me several scratches and even gouges.
The lightwedge is also very reflective, even more so than the 700, and runs on batteries, not a rechargeable internal battery back.
The plus side is that you can remove it if you don't need it.
