I don't see the point. Almost all of the other manufacturers/distributors that have different e-readrs it's because them have one or more of the following specifications:
-different screen size
-different resolution
-Frontlight vs not illuminated
-touch vs no touch
But Odyssey FL2 vs Muse FL: same screen size, same resolution, both have frontligh, both have touch screen (and wifi and ...) and both have the same price. It's the same with Odyssey Essential vs Muse Essential.
Perhaps Bookeen has a big stock of Odyssey bodies (as you said)and put Muse boards in Odyssey bodies?
