It sounds like they have lights with a range of color temperature. Most of the time, the difference between multiple lights/light strips in one device (I've no idea how many leds there are per device) would be unnoticeable to most folks, but every now and then, lights at extreme ends of the range end up in a single device and the contrast gets noticed. Definitely not what you expect in a premium product. Probably not too hard to prevent with an extra step before assembly, but if it's rare enough, it might be dramatically cheaper to just let your users return the ones that really stand out.
I'd prefer to get one that leaned yellowish (evenly, of course). As a heavy night reader, that'd create less strain for me. Is that a common preference?
