Anybody's Daughter by Pamela Samuels-Young (
SYKM), 2nd in her Dre Thomas series of mystery/suspense thrillers. This is from an apparently small press imprint which may actually be a self-pub house "name", but Samuels-Young has had another legal thriller series out from Harlequin's Kimani Sepia imprint which showcases African-American authors and issues, and is herself a practicing attorney. This sports a favourable review from Kirkus quoted in the blurb (Kirkus does do reviews of self-pub books if someone pays them money, IIRC).
