I always like to have the option of an internal upgrade.

Then there is the case where the best deal "right now" is a computer with a smaller RAM and smaller hard drive than you really want. The ability to upgrade RAM and Disk Space can give you the confidence to buy.

You might find that what you bought is adequate for the present, but you still have that option.
