This was created via the Tag Browser,

Code:
languages:"=French" or tags:"=Monet" or #status:"=70 Final"
To repeat it I have to

open the Tag browser - shift/alt/t
grab the mouse,
click on the open Languages glyph,
click on French,
click on the open Tags glyph,
click on the 'M' glyph,
shift/click on Monet,
click on the open Status glyph,
shift/click on Final

If a shift/click is inadvertently done as an unmodified/click then the previous selections are lost and have to be redone.

If all searches were put into history I could simply type ctrl/f and arrow down to the search, no need to open tag browser, no need to mess about with the mouse. Save search is not a real option, its more mouse clicking, reopening of tag browser and I have to remember to save any tag browser searches that I might want to come back to.

If I do a Similar Book search, say on Publisher or Series then it is recorded in Search History (note this is a single term search), but if I click on a Series or Publisher name in Book Details it is not recorded in Search History, yet the search string is exactly the same
