Because it is a constant beam does it use more battery than the other kind?
We have a cat door bell that works on this idea. The cats break the beam and we know they are waiting to come in. When the beams break, it rings a bell. We did this because we adopted feral cats and we were attempting to get them on an eating schedule. The bell works. The cats, not so much.
