Have just checked my Kobo account uses a different email, than the one my adobe ID is registered to. I've not had any problems buying books.

However,not owning one I don't know if the Kobo has to be registered using the same details as your Kobo account & whether this would cause conflict.

Hopefully a Kobo owner will be along soon to clarify.
