Having owned or used every eink kindle model since the 1st generation (I'm a gadget junkie and ereader geek like most of you), I can say with confidence that the paperwhite clearly feels like the perfect ereader. There's nothing about it that I dislike.

All of the various generations of kindles have felt like an improvement over the last... The most disappointing upgrade (which I wish I hadn't done) was paperwhite v1 to v2. It's been 2 years since paperwhite came out... v1 and v2 are basically identical.

The voyage is expensive, but it at least is a completely new device. It looks excellent. The impression that I get is that it isn't worth $260 (device + case) if you already have a paperwhite, but if you're an ereader geek and enjoy the latest & greatest devices, and have the disposable income, go for it. The reviews have just made me more excited.
