The screen needs to be at least 8" to maybe be useful, and really, I think 10" is the minimum for me. I think Onyx or some other European / Asian producer is releasing a large screen Android e-ink reader. With the right software, it should be possible to slave it to a laptop. This will be the best bet.

But I recall reading that there is or will be a device using the same screen as the Sony Mobius screen for half the price. Hopefully we will see something soonish that can be used as a large e-ink screen. But I think it will be an e-reader/tablet that can be slaved, not a dedicated plug-in screen. And expect to pay $400-500, at least at first.
