I gave up trying to get the things I was interested in working under WINE in the late 1990's. Since then, I lost interest in running that stuff on any platform.
The only thing keeping the plugin from running under linux is the OS check, but getting that information to the right people is like pulling teeth. I haven't quite given up hope, but it is fading away.
