New version of Kindle app for OS X Yosemite
If you are unable to open the Kindle app after installing Yosemite or if you get an incompatible software message upon installing Yosemite, try this:
1. Find the Kindle app on your Mac and delete it and the supporting files. Mine was in an "incompatible software" directory. Easiest way is to use appcleaner or a similar app.
2. Reinstall from the Mac App store. It will be version 1.10.6 (40499) dated 10/17/14. Any version of 1.10.6 prior to 10/17/14 is probably not going to work.
You will have to re-register after you open the app.
