Funny thing is, I didn't keep in touch with those guys, but reconnected with them long after the movie came out. John DeBello (who directed and produced) ... his mother and my mother started going on cruises together (after my step-father died), and I went to visit a friend (after I moved home for a bit), saw his "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" poster, and said I wanted one. My friend said, something to the effect of "well, you do know that John DeBello and Steve Peace made that movie, don't you. Remember all that killer tomato stuff at lunch??"

So, I went home, picked up the phone and called John. He was kind enough to send me posters for all of the Killer Tomato movies and sequels. The artwork for the first film was the one I really liked best, so that's the one that hangs in my media room now.

My mom dated Steve's dad before she met my step-father, so I knew him fairly well as well. I think he's in the California state legislature these days ... authoring legislation I probably disagree with on a very fundamental level.
