Hi All,

Thanks for your helpful comments. I wish I had known them before yesterday when I spent 4 hours hand committing and dating each of the commits!!

So is there an easy way to hand edit the history itself without having to rebuild, and recommit almost 60 versions again?

Yes, I will branch the python 2/3 unified version until it becomes stable and is released.
