If you change the cover for a book that is already on the device (or recently deleted from the device) then you may need to turn the device off and back on before the new cover will show.

I can't quite follow how you are updating the cover, but this is how I do it:

- I have the "Upload covers for books" option ticked in the KoboTouch driver configuration, this ensures that the cover images are sent from Calibre instead of letting the device generate its own images by rendering the first page of the book.

- To update the cover for a book that is already on the device I use the "Upload covers for selected books" function of the KoboUtilities plugin.

- Eject and unplug the device, turn the device completely off and then back on again.
