I only have 1 library with several virtual libraries. The "Shelf" column is heavily used with my VLs. It's a pick list that is a super group of my tags: Contemporary, Category, Erotica, Paranormal, Historical, Other, Freebies and FINISHED. If a book is on a shelf other than Freebies it is a higher on my TBR pile. If I ever get to the point where the main shelves are empty I'll repopulate them from the Freebies shelf. After I read a book I change the shelf to FINISHED. One of my VLs (Unread) is set to show everything except where Shelf=FINISHED. |
Can you tell me where I would find this shelf column? I made a few colums, but I don't see a shelf option. I have a yes/no for read and unread and I also attached color to the book title text so green means unread and if its red its read. Gives me a visual right off.
I have one library and some virtual. I am still struggling though to make some of the virtual thingies work. I don't know anything about that "code" that needs to be in the fields, so unless its something I can pick from a preset already there, its above me.
Mostly I use tags as at least those are easy, but it gets tedious having to put those in each time I import books. So many of my virtual are just using a tag as the option, sometimes if I try to exclude stuff it doesn't seem to work the way I want to.
