My TBR list consists of all those books I own/possess but which I have not yet read. I also have a wishlist and a "currently reading" list. Like others, I will tend to have at least 3-4 books open at any one time. I move back and forth between them based on medium (audio vs eBook vs paper book) and mood.
In addition to these lists, I also have one or more challenge lists. This year, my only challenge is to complete selected series. I am down to only 3 more books -- all from the Honor Harrington series.

Well, I don't read much non-fiction, but I do mix up genres. Right now I'm reading a mystery/suspense, high fantasy, YA fantasy, and a historical mystery novel. When I am enjoying a series, I will try to read through it without much delay. However, this year I'm trying to obtain most books through the library, so that can complicate pursuing a series since often I must wait for a book to become available.
